It is a fault that the carboxylate cement for dental use of today showed less value in mechanical strength and much more value in expansibility than those that zinc phosphate cement showed. This reason resulted from organic composition of cement liquid. Because of organic composition, reacted products showed a very low value of bending strength, and the connectivity and continuity between those products and unreacted control were not observed. We evaluated a little response effect of Wollastonite on carboxylate ion and identified the properties of cement in those products. The result obtained suggested that the values of bending strength and expansibility of cement were considerably improved through the insertion of Wollastonite into commercialized cement powder.
