Abstract

Autoantibodies to smooth muscle were found more frequently (21%) in the sera of patients with cystic fibrosis than in age- and sex-matched controls. This appears to be associated with liver involvement. There was no increase in the frequency of occurrence of antibodies to 'reticulin' or cell nuclei in the sera of patients with cystic fibrosis.
