[The tension distribution in metal-ceramics bonding].

A certain method of testing bending was developed to test the strength behavior of metal fused to porcelain, independent of the fusion strength, which was based on calculations made according to the finite element method and on test results. The results indicate that, when non-precious metals are used, the wall strength for veneer crowns may not be lower than that required for the utilization of noble metal alloys.
