Abstract
Sporozoites of Plasmodium berghei berghei (NK-65 strain) were inoculated intravenously into four-week-old CFN rats. Liver biopsies were taken at intervals and the density of exo-erythrocytic forms per mm3 of liver were estimated. Results demonstrated asynchronous maturation and the gradual disappearance of exo-erythrocytic forms during the period 48 to 72 hours after infection.

将伯氏疟原虫（NK - 65株）的子孢子静脉注射到4周龄的CFN大鼠体内。定期进行肝脏活检，并估算每立方毫米肝脏中红细胞外期疟原虫的密度。结果显示，感染后48至72小时内，红细胞外期疟原虫成熟不同步且逐渐消失。
