Tarso-septal Z-plasty combined with skin grafting for the late correction of traumatic upper lid contractures.

A technique for the repair of upper eyelid contracture, which involves a full thickness "tarso-septal Z plasty," is described. The vertical arm goes through the scarred area, and the horizontal arms are approximately parallel to the brow and eyelid margin. Skin grafting is also commonly done in conjunction, and the operated lid is then kept in overextension for two to four weeks.
