Abstract
For some common elective surgical procedures, the therapeutic decision differs from one surgeon to the next, and for the individual practitioner, opinion will change over the course of time. This article reviews reports of surgical reliability and presents data on both the reliability and reproducibility of the surgical decision-making process.
