Abstract

The present study looked at some of the psychological factors of children who habitually sniff glue. A control group of non-glue-sniffing delinquent boys was compared with an experimental group of glue-sniffing boys. The comparison was across a number of personality variables, using the HSPQ, and the two groups were matched in terms of age, social class and intelligence. A significant difference was found between the two groups in terms of one HSPQ primary factor (factor F) and one HSPQ secondary factor (factor QI).

本研究考察了习惯性吸食胶水儿童的一些心理因素。将一组不吸食胶水的违法犯罪男孩作为对照组，与一组吸食胶水的男孩作为实验组进行比较。使用高夫人格问卷（HSPQ），对两组在多个个性变量方面进行比较，且两组在年龄、社会阶层和智力方面进行了匹配。结果发现，两组在高夫人格问卷的一个主要因素（因素F）和一个次要因素（因素QI）方面存在显著差异。
