In sinus research, aspirated undiluted antral secretion has long been used for quantitative analysis. The antral aspiration technique described here is also a convenient method in diagnostic and therapeutic routine. Compared with antral irrigation, the aspiration technique provides a more detailed picture of the sinus state, which can facilitate further management of the sinusitis.
