Abstract

By a dye laser with a spectral band of 0.6 nm, the erythema curve of Hausser and Vahle could be confirmed which often has been doubted. Together with 8-MOP-medication, UVB enhances the erythema. The effect of UVB in psoriasis is correlated to the degree of erythema. The long-wave UVB-UVA is less effective in psoriasis, even together with 8-MOP-therapy, however, in clinical treatment this disadvantage is compensated by the higher penetration of this radiation.
