A description is given of pes anserinus transposition after Slocum and Larson. The anatomy, diagnosis and surgical technique are briefly dealt with. In 1974 and 1975, 27 patients were operated on as described. Follow-up included 25 patients. All had a functional, stable knee, with very marked reduction of complaints.
