Villous adenoma involving the ampulla of Vater: treatment by submucosal resection and double sphincteroplasty.

An asymptomatic patient presented with a rare case of duodenal villous adenoma with malignant transformation involving the ampulla of Vater. The tumor involved a portion of the distal common bile duct and pancreatic duct. Pancreatic and biliary outflow were reconstructed using a double sphincteroplasty technique after wide submucosal resection of the tumor.
