It appears that the mortality from coronary heart disease, particularly in men between the ages of thirty and sixty-four, has fallen slightly in recent years. The reasons for this are not clear, but some of this mortality reduction has been attributed to better management of patients, arising through the introduction of coronary care and other forms of medical interference. It is equally possible that this reduction of overall mortality is related to changes in the community's habits.
