In 248 patients with juvenile schizophrenia lasting over 10 years since the first manifestation of the psychosis statistically significant criteria for probable prognosis of the disease outcome were determined using clinico-statistical methods. It was found that the most informative among those criteria were the characteristics of the initial stage of the disease and the premorbid period; the hereditary and genetic background, as well as the character of the disease onset and some pictures of the manifest psychosis. The criteria determined enable one to forecast with a high degree of statistical significance the intensity of the morbid process progress at the initial stages of paroxysmal schizophrenia.
