Abstract

A technique is described to correct rheumatoid Swan-Neck deformity in those patients where there is limited proximal interphalangeal joint flexion in all positions. It involves the manipulation of these joints and their temporary immobilisation with Kirschner wires followed by mobilisation using an elastic band method.
