[Reality orientation training: a provisional evaluation].

This article takes further on REality Orientation (RO), a therapeutical approach developed and practiced on behalf of institutionalized psychogeriatric patients. RO is called a milieu- or sociotherapy dependent of the aspect that is stressed most. Goals, methods, potential target groups and studies of its effects are discussed whereupon an evaluation of RO is formulated for the present. The importance of role and function of nursing staff along with their attitude is stressed, for their cooperation strongly adds to the success or failure of RO-programs.
