Abstract

Commercial impedance plethysmograph Ppg2-02 with a specially designed cuvette has been used to monitor specific blood impedance in the course of circulation study in various groups of healthy and diseased persons. The individual measures have been shown to be markedly dispersed from the permissible mean value of the parameter. Relationships between hematocrit and venous blood specific impedance values have been studied. The analytical expression for blood specific impedance as a function of hematocrit is obtained.
