Atypical presentation of osteomyelitis of the distal phalanx of the hallux.

In this paper, the authors describe an atypical case of osteomyelitis that occurred concurrently with onychocryptosis. The bony involvement was localized and the patient is asymptomatic 12 months after surgical intervention.
