12 cases of cholesteatomas of the middle ear were found 5 months to 3 years after myringotomy and insertions of ventilation tubes. The occurrence of these cholesteatomas could be related to the tympanostomy in every case, and was due to either improper myringotomy or poor-controlled removal of the tympanostomy tube.
12例中耳胆脂瘤是在鼓膜切开置管术后5个月至3年发现的。这些胆脂瘤的发生在每一例中都可能与鼓膜造口术有关，原因要么是鼓膜切开术操作不当，要么是鼓膜造口管取出控制不佳。
