Abstract

An attempt is made to relate certain psychoanalytic concepts to the neurophysiological theory of chronic schizophrenia, as proposed by Shagass. Several points in common are adduced. It is concluded that the physiological and psychological features in question may point to the same basic phenomena, though from different angles.
