Abstract
A simple and rapid procedure for the isolation and determination of free ferricyanide and ferrocyanide in sodium nitroferricyanide (nitroprusside) was developed. The method, employing aluminum oxide column chromatography, was sensitive enough to detect ferricyanide and ferrocyanide at the 0.05% level.
