Compound incomplete dislocation of the trapezium and compound fractured hamate hook.

A wringer injury with a compound "fracture" dislocation of the trapezium treated with single Kirschner-wire axial-fixation to the proximal second metacarpal is discussed. Full return of function was present at one year with minimal traumatic arthritis. A hamate hook fracture also healed without complications and without excision.
