Abstract

The work is based on examination of central haemodynamics by mechanocardiography and microcirculation by means of conjunctival biomicroscopy in 237 patients with hypertensive disease. A high level of peripheral resistance in relation to the existing minute blood volume was disclosed in patients with various stages of the disease. The main haemodynamic variants are encountered with equal frequency in various stages of hypertensive disease. A direct correlation was revealed between the values of peripheral resistance on the one hand, and the vascular microcirculatory changes on the other.
