The content of K+ was evaluated in erythrocytes of the blood collected from the finger and gingiva of normal people and patients with parodontosis. The content of K+ in erythrocytes of the capillary blood was discovered to increase with the enhancement of the disease severity. The permeability ratio for K+ did not essentially change. The data obtained confirm the suggestion that parodontosis is a systemic disease rather than a local affection.
