Abstract

Structure elucidation of a new 2-aminopurine nucleoside antibiotic amipurimycin has been carried out. It contains 2-aminopurine, cis-2-aminocyclopentane-1-carboxylic acid and a sugar moiety. A structure will be proposed for the antibiotic.
