[A rare complication: disorder of taste-function after tonsillectomy (author's transl)].

This report presents a rare complication after tonsillectomy--a postoperative noticed impairment of the sense of taste. Due to its course in the parapharyngeal space the glossopharyngeal nerve can be damaged during the operation.
