Abstract
One hundred twenty-five consecutive cases of traction macular detachment secondary to diabetic retinopathy are analyzed. Visual results show 72% to have improvement. Long-term follow-up (average 39 months) of the initial 75 cases revealed that 62% of the initially improved cases remained improved. Neovascular glaucoma rate continues to be higher in aphakic eyes as compared to phakic eyes.

对125例因糖尿病性视网膜病变继发牵引性黄斑脱离的连续病例进行了分析。视力结果显示72%的患者有改善。对最初的75例患者进行长期随访（平均39个月）发现，最初改善的病例中有62%仍保持改善。与有晶状体眼相比，无晶状体眼的新生血管性青光眼发生率仍然更高。
