Oxygen under 5 aim (convulsant and terminal states) evoked an increase in the level of lipid peroxides in the myocardium, spleen, blood, skeletal muscles, brain, kidneys, and liver. In the posthyperoxic period, there was a relatively rapid return to normal of the level of lipid peroxides first in the brain (after 1 hour) and then in other tissues (after 24 or 72 hours).
