Cerebral aging is associated with psychological and intellectual modifications related to haemodynamic, metabolic disturbances which are often reflected by electroencephalographic alteration (frequency variations, alpha dominant frequency changes). Different tests, based on visual and automatic E.E.G. analysis, have been used to determine the CNS effect of vincamine, ifenprodil and dihydroergotoxine which are used for the treatment of cerebral insufficiency.
