The method of intragastric pH-metry was used to assess the acid production in the stomach in 35 patients with gastric tumors. All patients with malignant tumors were divided into two groups with respect to site: tumors in the cardia and corpus (18 cases) and tumors in the antrum and pylorus (17 cases). Continuous low-rate production of acid was registered. For cardial and corporal tumors, histamine-refractory anacidity predominated, while continuous low- and medium-rate production of acid was observed in cases of pylorantral tumors. The procedure proved especially effective in determination of gastric secretion in patients with stomach tumors because due to its application it was found that hydrochloric acid secretion continued under the conditions when other methods failed to detect it.
采用胃内pH值测定法评估35例胃肿瘤患者的胃酸分泌情况。所有恶性肿瘤患者按部位分为两组：贲门和胃体部肿瘤患者18例，胃窦和幽门部肿瘤患者17例。记录到持续低速率的胃酸分泌。对于贲门和胃体部肿瘤，组胺抵抗性无酸分泌占主导，而幽门窦部肿瘤患者则观察到持续的低速率和中速率胃酸分泌。该方法在测定胃肿瘤患者的胃分泌方面特别有效，因为通过应用该方法发现，在其他方法未能检测到胃酸分泌的情况下，盐酸分泌仍在持续。
