The third phase in the use of radio-isotopes for radical surgery of cervical carcinoma, using 99m Technetium antimony sulphide to localise pelvic lymph nodes on the operating camera table has yielded results which indicate good progress. The potency of lymphadenectomy was increased from an original level of 52.5 per cent to 81.6 per cent. Recurrence mortality went down over the first three years after treatment, according to preliminary results.
