Synthesis of 7-[7-(2-thienylacetamido)-cephalosporanamido]cephalosporanic and 6-[7-(2-thienylacetamido)cephalosporanamido]-penicillanic acids.

The synthesis of some molecules containing two moieties with potential antibiotic activity is described. These compounds were obtained by acylation of esters of 7-aminocephalosporanic and 6-aminopenicillanic acids with beta-lactam antibiotics.
