The stability of implants depends in part of intraocular sutures but only if these present sufficient guaranties in their physical properties at short and long time. The scanning electron microscopy allows a comparative study of the ageing and the tolerance of non-resorbable suture after a time of residence in the anterior chamber, particularly of nylon and polypropylene.
