The conversion of diphenylmethane to p-hydroxydiphenylmethane has been studied in laboratory rats. The urine of rats was found to contain 0.37 mole of unconjugated and 0.06 mole of conjugated p-hydroxydiphenylmethane. Rat feces was found to contain 0.06 mole of a mixture of unconjugated and conjugated p-hydroxydiphenylmethane.
