The phrase "penile blood pressure" would appear to be a misnomer. The penis is supplied by six arteries, and blood pressure measurements should be reported in each one. Blood pressure is difficult to measure in the deep cavernosal arteries, which are the most important for erection. Doppler ultrasound studies of arterial pulses in all six arteries are probably of more value than "penile blood pressure" in assessing vascular impotency.
