61 patients with acute stress ulcers were treated with cimetidine. Additional surgical treatment was neccessary in 5 patients. 27 patients died from complications. In none of these patients the gastrointestinal haemorrhage caused the fatal outcome.

61例急性应激性溃疡患者接受了西咪替丁治疗。5例患者需要额外的手术治疗。27例患者死于并发症。在这些患者中，无一例因胃肠道出血导致死亡。
