[The CO2-laser in neurosurgery].

Since July 1976 the CO2-laser has been used routinely in the University Clinic of Neurosurgery in Graz. Eighty operations of various kinds have been performed. From our clinical and experimental experience advantages and limitations are shown and discussed. Further development work of the instrument which may even widen its therapeutical possibilities, are demonstrated as well.
