The work discusses the results of the examination of 108 patients with the syndrome of mitral valve prolapse encountered in the presence of various diseases (cardiomyopathy, acquired heart diseases, ischemic heart disease, pericarditis, etc.). The methods for the diagnosis of this syndrome are discussed: electro- phono-, echocardiography, radiography of the heart, and ventriculography. The clinical manifestations of the syndrome are analyzed.
