[Retrospective analysis of the progress of the service for early diagnosis of tumors of the uterine cervix by means of the pap-test. Year 1977-1978].

Screening data involving uterine neck tumours are reported from the Varese/3 Medical Consortium in the two-year period 1977-1978. Out of 3,929 smears, a neoplasia percentage of 0.23% was observed. This figure differs from that reported elsewhere and is not easy to interpret.
