[Differential diagnosis of impaired evacuation from the gastric stump].

The impaired evacuation from the stomach stump was observed in 69 of 331 patients subjected to resection of the stomach for gastro-duodenal ulcer. For the recognition of functional and mechanical causes of disturbances in the evacuation the author proposed a table of general differential diagnostic signs made on the basis of clinical, phonographic and X-ray examinations as well as on the efficiency of the conservative treatment. The author believes that the use of phonography of the abdominal cavity gives better chances for determining the causes of the disturbed evacuation from the stomach stump in the nearest days after resection.
