Abstract
Under investigation were functional results of the surgical treatment of different diseases of the thyroid gland in children and juveniles. The assessment of the physical, sexual, psychoemotional development was made in remote terms (from 1 to 15 years). High rate of malignization of the nodular goiter requires choice of the optimal time for surgery in cases with adenomatous goiter, the development of hypothyrosis in patients with low functional activity of the thyroid adenoma making early operations necessary independent of the age.
