[State of the sympathetic-adrenal system in malignant tumors of the gastrointestinal tract].

The paper deals with the functional state of the sympatho-adrenal system in patients with malignant tumors of the digestive tract. It has been established that in this case the tone of the sympatho-adrenal system is lowered that may serve as an indicator of a "risk factor". The disturbances in the sympatho-adrenal system tone are mostly pronounced at initial stages of the disease as well as in case of gastric polyps, which testify a pre-cancer lesion. Substances stimulating the tone of the sympathetic nervous system may be employed for rehabilitation therapy to improve patient's condition both in case of operable and inoperable cancer.
