[Inheritance of the enzyme, esterase D].

The author examined 40 families with 48 children and did not find deviation of the generally accepted hypothesis about codominant allel inheritance of the enzyme esterase D. He made calculations of the observed and expected values and frequency of the distribution of the phenotypes by means of the Hi square criterion. The differences were insignificant (p > 0,05). He examined the phenotypes of the enzyme esterase D in 470 mothers and 477 newborns. he obtained substantial inferences just as in the examined families. Gene frequencies in the families and in mothers with children were compared with those of the adult Bulgarian population--1660 individuals. The differences were insignificant.
