Abstract
Hyperoxygenation modified the susceptibility of neonatal rat lung to respond to chlorphenatermine with an accumulation of hypertrophic macrophages, a morphologic change undetected when an anorectic drug was given alone. Implications of this observation for pediatrics are discussed.
