Abstract

Stimulation of ipsilateral gigantocellular reticular and lateral vestibular nuclei of medulla oblongata, pontine lateral and medial nuclei, reticular formation of the midbrain, as well as the ipsi- and contralateral sensomotor cortex induced antidromic ATs recorded intracellularly in Fastigial neurons. Conduction velocity of Fastigial cell axons projecting to various nuclei of the brainstem was 30--35 m/sec and to the cerebral cortex--43--52 m/sec. Organization of the nuclear efferent system is peculiar by the branching of some axons into various structures of the brainstem.
