Abstract

Threshold characteristics of excitability of the myocardium stimulated by electric current were studied in experiments on frogs. It was established that the magnitude of threshold charge is the main constant characterizing myocardial excitability. A convenient method was suggested for its measurement. It allows an accurate charge measuring at any voltage and current. The results obtained can be used for an optimal make up of the outlet cascade of implanted cardiostimulators.
