Basing on systemtheoretical and thermodynamical formalisms, it can be theoretically predicted that hysteresis represents a metastable state, that is, a compromise between unstability and stability or, respectively, an information-control processes with periodic properties. It is suggested that similar phenomena are involved in the organized growth of cells.
