A report is given on the possible therapeutic influence of diphenylhydantoin on dystrophic myotonia. After studying the correlations of the clinical-neurological findings, EEG changes and electromyo-electroneurographic findings with respect to the DPH serum concentration, it was found that a long-term therapy is only indicated in individual cases and when the patient is taken thorough care of.
