A colorimetric method by which to determine allantoin in serum and urine of farm animals is described in this paper. The method is primarily suitable for laboratories with less comprehensive equipment. Roughly 40 samples can be checked daily by one worker. A variation coefficient of about three per cent was established for accidental errors.
