This case is believed to be the eighth one reported of normal salivary gland tissue occurring as a tumor or mass within the middle ear (Fig. 1). Although rare, this entity should be considered in the differential diagnosis of a mass within the middle ear. It is associated with anomalies of the ossicular chain and facial nerve. These anomalies often dictate the clinical management of these patients.
