Renal angiography with some technical improvements (simultaneous multiple tomography, administration of epinephrine) is still the most reliable method for the diagnosis of a renal tumor; nevertheless, there are limits that this method can not overcome, and an error is always possible. The matter is discussed and a number of cases are reported.
